Anne and Joshua’s wedding day was full of so many beautiful touches and two of our favorite locations! The couple had to reschedule their destination wedding but were so excited to finally get together with family and friends to celebrate.
When planning their day, they wanted an outdoor ceremony in a unique space. They chose Old Fort Jackson, which sits on the Savannah River and is a short drive outside of Downtown Savannah. When guests arrived, they were greeted by a large fabric sign on our Copper Display Frame. This frame is modern and versatile and can be used with fabric or paper signs.
Their ceremony took place in the main space, where guests sat on wooden benches and watched the couple recite their vows. Ivory & Beau not only planned their event but was their florist! They created a stunning asymmetrical ceremony arch covered in burgundy and blush blooms and lots of greenery.
After portraits around Old Fort Jackson, guests hopped on trolleys and headed Downtown. The reception was held at Soho South Cafe, one of the most popular venues in Savannah. Their ceremony arch was moved inside and was the background for their head table. The couple used our Farmhouse Sweetheart Table for the two of them and paired it with our Goldie + Kate Chairs. They also used Cheesecloth Runners, in shades of ivory and dusty blue, for the long arm tables. Eucalyptus greenery garlands laid across the tables, where soft candlelight added a glow all evening long.
One important vendor to hire is a wedding planner! We always tell our couples that having a wedding planner or day-of coordinator will be one of the best decisions they will make during the planning process. There are so many variables that go into a wedding day! And here in Savannah, it’s important to have a rain backup plan. Because we are coastal, afternoon thunderstorms are pretty common, especially in the summer and early fall. Ivory & Beau ensured Anne and Joshua had a ceremony backup plan, just in case! And while we didn’t need to use it, it always gives couples peace of mind knowing that everything can be taken care of. They can just sit back and enjoy the day!
