Elopements hold such a special place in our hearts! Savannah is one of the best spots to elope. We have dozens of venues for every style and size. With our courthouse right downtown, getting a marriage license is also a quick process, so you don’t even need to rent a car! You can easily walk everywhere downtown, making it also great for elopements that include a few guests. One of our favorite elopement spots is Ships Of The Sea Museum, a garden venue in the heart of downtown.
Angela and Sam wanted to have an elopement with just their closest family and friends. To make the planning easier, they chose to use the Savannah Elopement Package! This is a one-of-a-kind elopement package in Savannah that makes eloping a breeze. The Savannah Elopement Package includes 1.5 hours of photography, a bouquet and boutonniere, hair and makeup, a cake, and your officiant! All you need is a venue if you want, somewhere private (if not a square downtown), and rentals.
They chose the Ships Of The Sea Museum for their elopement, which was the perfect garden oasis. They wanted it to feature pops of fall colors and chose a bouquet filled with sunflowers, roses, and greenery. It was beautiful with her white vintage gown that had yellow floral embroidery. Instead of a veil, she wore a hat, a fun personal touch.
Their ceremony took place in the garden, facing the Maritime Museum. They added our Vintage Venice Runner down the aisle for a pop of color. The decor was kept minimal since the venue is already so beautiful. After they said I Do, guests got to go inside the museum for cocktail hour.
After a museum tour, guests were led to another area of the garden, where an intimate dining reception was set up. Our Dark Wood Farm Table was flanked with Bamboo Folding Chairs for the guests. An arrangement of candles and sunflowers added some color to the space. The couple had a heatable for the two of them, with our Sunnie Settee taking center stage! This antique marigold settee is a popular item and tied into the sunflower decor perfectly! Their ceremony arch was moved to the reception, with a custom neon sign hanging. Our Cheyanne Rug added some soft reds and completed their sweetheart area.
They also made sure to have a lounge for guests to relax. The Flora Settee paired with more bamboo folding chairs, and the Oahu Circle Rug added some fun texture. Their delicious cake sat on our Habersham Bar Cart, one of our newer items! This mid-century bar cart features wood and gold accents and is perfect for cake tables or holding beverages. Guests enjoyed the private dinner and spent the evening with the newly wed couple!
